Enterprise 2006
Inn at Spanish Bay, Pebble Beach, Calif.
Welcome to Enterprise 2006.
Thank you for joining us at the ninth-annual, invitation-only conference for software business leaders.
The software industry is moving into a new phase of confidence. Following several years of slides, shifts and upheaval, many software vendors are watching their next-generation strategies crystallize.
After wrangling with the ramifications of consolidation, spending caps, open source, offshoring, SaaS, SOA, on-demand, Web 2.0 and other trends, executives are now better aware of their opportunities and increasingly ready to guide their companies into the next era.
Some observers have termed the next era of corporate computing, “Enterprise 2.0.” What exactly Enterprise 2.0 means and what it will mean for software vendors will be a lively topic of discussion at this year’s event.
The theme of Enterprise 2006 is “Success.” Key decisions regarding the right solution, the right markets, the right models and the right partners today will make the difference between success and failure tomorrow.
Over the next two days, we will hear CEOs share their secrets of success. We will watch Fortune 500 CIOs present their challenges and needs. And we will listen as experts add a “big picture” perspective to current industry thinking.
Most importantly, we will share opinions and candidly discuss ideas with our software business peers in an informal, enjoyable setting. After nine years, this friendly “meeting of the minds” remains the main objective of Enterprise 2.0.
Finally, we want to thank you for your contribution to our charitable causes. Your participation enables the SHG Foundation to support a variety of smart, independent organizations which aim to improve the world we share.
Once again, welcome to Enterprise 2006.
