About Software 2007: Powered by Innovation

The software industry is moving into a new phase of confidence. Following several years of slides, shifts and upheaval, many software vendors are watching their next-generation strategies crystallize.

The common denominator for success in all strategies? Innovation.

The theme for Software 2007, “Powered by Innovation” aims to explore and underscore the continued importance of innovation to the software industry. Speakers and sessions will discuss innovation as it relates to products, processes, technologies, business models and delivery methods.

Executive attendees to Software 2007 will gain new insight about opportunities for guiding their companies into the next era – whether they involve leveraging open source, offshoring, SaaS/on-demand, SOA, Enterprise 2.0 or another emerging trend.

“I am very impressed. The event gets better every year!”

MR RangaswamiSoftware 2007 packs a week's worth of action into two full days. Each day and afternoon, the agenda begins with keynote addresses from industry leaders, followed by panels debating critical software business issues.

Twice a day, attendees can choose from dozens of in-depth workshops which cover key topics for software business management, such as marking open source products, moving to a hybrid strategy, best practices for support, preparing for M&A and hiring senior executives.

Attendees enjoy a variety of networking opportunities, with breakfast, lunch and cocktails, as well as a bustling tradeshow floor which showcases the latest industry solutions.

In addition to speaker sessions, Software 2007 presents a variety of special events. There are two conferences within the conference. Enterprise CIOs and CTOs are invited to participate in CIO Dialogue, which enables software companies to meet directly with their largest customers in a town hall-type setting. At Alliance, the largest software companies meet with small and mid-sized vendors to forge a better understanding of how to work together.

The Innovation Showcase presents the best and brightest new software and services offerings as part of the tradeshow floor. New this year at Software 2007 will be the Global Pavilion which will showcase innovation from leading vendors worldwide.
